It's been great having friends Shane & Alli Magee in town lately. I met them in Northern Ireland during my years living there, when they really made an effort to keep and touch and connect with our little team (in the middle of nowhere) and time and time again I've been impressed with their encouragement and teaching gifts.

So, while they were in town, I really looked forward to time with them, but also hoped that I could use their gifts within the context of our ministry here. As it turned out, they showed up just all our programs take a 2-week hiatus after summer's busyness before starting in on fall programming. The local church plant was even taking a week off! So instead, I invited 10 teens over to my place for supper, games & a short Bible study. It's always a different atmosphere when it's in a home rather than a centre, and they really responded to Shane & Alli, both in a fun sense and in a spiritual sense. It was a neat experience for me to see two major parts of my life come together for a night, and to see God's hand in it all.

Shane & Alli are currently touring all of Canada, the States and parts of South America. Partly it's a dream for them to travel, but they've also found their highlights in the last 2 months of travelling have always been the people they've met.
